Open Arms at our Open House

A stunning new piece of chalk art, created by our own Mary Kay Mitchell, welcomed more than 60 guests and volunteers to our open house last Oct. 25.

Once inside, guests enjoyed touring the clubhouse, looking at some of our historic artifacts, reading our information posters, and mingling with other civic and business leaders. They also savored our club signature appetizers and sangria and no one went home hungry or thirsty.

In her well-received opening comments, president Hilary Paulson encouraged guests to consider joining our club or renting the building for their own events. She also introduced our plans to make our front entrance more accessible to people with disabilities.

Pumpkin centerpieces created by Dani Gasparini’s talented crew added to the festive feel and brought in $225 for our building fund.

Hilary reported she heard many comments about how beautiful the building is and how warm and welcoming members were to our guests.

A phenomenal crew of volunteers worked hard to organize the event; set everything up; prepare and serve food and drink; make guests feel at home; and clean up at the end of the evening.
