About the Redwood City Woman’s Club
Our mission is to provide service to the community, a spirit of sisterhood where women can socialize together, and preservation of a historical resource for Redwood City – our clubhouse.
We serve our community through volunteer activities, donations, and use of our clubhouse. We also welcome guest speakers from local organizations to support their community outreach. Our focus is on families, the environment, and veterans.
Book & Wine Club
Bring a book you are ready to discuss and share. We are currently meeting monthly in our garden area.
Our intermediate to advanced Bridge Group is currently meeting online.
We meet once a month for day or evening meetings that feature Club business, member announcements, speakers, and social time.
League of Widows Social Group
Our monthly informal social group for widows provides an opportunity to learn from each other and make new friends.
Contributions from members provide funds for tree planting to help reforestation in the Santa Cruz mountains.
We partner with many other local organizations for volunteer activities. Club committees also offer volunteer opportunities.
We periodically hold fundraising events for our charitable giving fund. Recent beneficiaries of the fund include the Menlo Park Veteran’s Hospital, the 4th of July Chalk Festival, Puente and the Childrens’ Fund of San Mateo. We have also supported Redwood City’s Magical Bridge Playground.
We joined the California Federation of Women’s Clubs in 1910 and are currently members of the Loma Prieta District. We are also members of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.
